I'm glad I finally made it Naked Chocolate in January to try their famous "European style" hot chocolate, and then returned a few weeks later to blissfully inhale one of their amazing cupcakes. I suppose the summer months are a good time to take this break, but hopefully Naked Chocolate will be back by Fall.
In the meantime, for a cupcake fix I'll be trying out Pamcakes on 20th between Pine and Lombard, the old Darling's Coffee and Cheesecake location because a) how completely adorable is that name??? b) it's right down the street from 22nd, and c) almost everyone on Yelp so far is raving about it. Any readers been yet and have recommendations?

Oh wow, I walk by Naked Chocolate every day and didn't even notice they are closing! Oops. I'm interested to see where they end up.
As for Pamcakes...I haven't been there yet but it's been on my list!! I need to take a walk there soon. I'm always up to try cupcakes! :)
I know, who knew? And with Brown Betty moving closer to Center City I wonder if the competition will heat up.
Pamcakes are SO yummy! Go try the lemon, the strawberry or peanut buttercup, my favorites.. delicious.
Pamcakes red velvet is delish! And their stuffed 'cakes...I mean...they're STUFFED.
I live in Exton Pa. Went to Pamcakes in Philly and let me tell you this: Whenever we have a party we always order up a dozen or two Pamcakes. Ya can't go wrong!
Geez this place has been about .5 seconds away from me for a few months now and I am clearly missing out! Will have to go ASAP and report back!
Pamcakes is heaven in my mouth! So rich and SOoo many different flavors to choose from. I'm obsessed!
I think Pamcakes has the best cupcakes in Philly. I haven't had a bad one yet, and I keep sneaking over on the weekends and buying a half dozen. The basics are great (vanilla lover's dream, chocolate peanut butter) and so are the "fancier" ones (especially cookies and creme, and the strawberry cheesecake cupcake).
And now I'm hungry!
I noticed this place was closed up last week. So sad.
